Time Management
The Handwriting Without Tears® curriculum is designed for the busy educator to make handwriting instruction easy and effective with short daily lessons.
- Handwriting instruction should take no more than 10-15 minutes per day including lesson and practice time.
- Allow time for review and mastery before moving to the next lesson.
- Use teachable moments. Take advantage of opportunities during the week to practice new letters, new words, or maybe even sentence writing.
- Your goal throughout the school year is not to finish a workbook, but to have students who love to write and who love to write neatly and proficiently. When children know how to write, they want to write.
- Use the activites at the back of the teacher's guides when the students have completed the workbook.
