Introducing Your School to HWT®

In-Servicing Teachers

We would love to help you plan an in-service to introduce your teachers to Handwriting Without Tears®. We can provide scripts, presentation overheads, handouts, and other helpful material. Contact a customer outreach coordinator at 888.983.8409 or janolsen@hwtears.com for assistance.

Planning an HWT Workshop

Handwriting Without Tears has professionally trained certified presenters who are available to come to your area to present the program and lead a workshop for your school or district. We offer workshops and presentations of different lengths to accommodate your needs. Call 402.492.2766 to speak with a workshop coordinator or email coordinator@hwtears.com to learn more about sponsoring your own workshop.

Piloting the HWT Program

Contact us if you are interested in piloting the HWT program in a few classrooms to assess the results of the curriculum.

  • Select a couple of classrooms per grade level to implement the program. Select teachers who you think are receptive to new ideas.
  • If you have an occupational therapist or an advocate of the program who has attended one of our workshops, ask that person to in-service your teachers. We can provide presentation materials to facilitate the in-service.
  • Contact a customer outreach coordinator at HWT for ideas about how to pilot and evaluate the success of the curriculum.

Use the Screener of Handwriting Proficiency to assess the effectiveness of your pilot program.

Regardless of the method you choose to introduce your school to the program, we’re sure you’ll find that HWT is the best program for your students! For more information on piloting, adopting, or evaluating the program, contact a customer outreach coordinator at 888.983.8409 or customeroutreach@hwtears.com.

Best of all, the curriculum costs 30% less than other large publishers' programs. Educators tell us that the real savings come from the success of the program. Our curriculum is so effective that educators do not have to spend time or money on evaluations or other extra resources.

Why should your school use HWT?
