Screener of Handwriting Proficiency

The Screener of Handwriting Proficiency is a free, easy to administer, whole-class assessment that lets you identify classes and students who are struggling with handwriting.

Teachers and occupational therapists can use the Screener to identify and measure specific skill areas where students need print or cursive instruction and intervention throughout the year.

The Screener is universal and can be used independently or as part of an RtI framework.

Administer the Screener to your whole class in just 10-15 minutes, then score online and instantly receive individual and class reports. Remediation suggestions help you better focus your classroom instruction in handwriting.

"I just have to share that I love the Screener. I have been able to better identify what a child's handwriting needs are, and I love the information that gets printed with the assessment for the parents. Great job with this!" –Milaura Spelman, MS/CCC-SLP, Social Bridges Program Lead Facilitator

"Thank you for developing this tool. It will make my screening with the kindergarten children so much easier next year. I will be able to work with the elementary teachers and help them address printing/handwriting problems right at the beginning of the year." –Cindy Camp
