Screener for Administrators

Identifying students and classes who are struggling with handwriting early saves your teachers time, and helps you lower remediation costs. The Screener of Handwriting Proficiency is ideal if your school has adopted an RtI framework. As a Tier 1 assessment tool, it helps your teachers and specialists work together to determine appropriate instructional plans for whole classes and intervention strategies for students who require additional testing and remediation.

Progress Reporting

Your teacher or specialist will administer the Screener up to three times per year, to chart student achievement throughout the school year. The Screener Online Reporting and Scoring Tool allows your teachers and OTs to easily generate individual and whole class summary reports. These reports let you compare progress and demonstrate measurable student achievement after implementation of targeted intervention.

Remediation

The Screener of Handwriting Proficiency assesses critical and measurable skill areas for printing or cursive in grades K through 4+. Individual and whole class summary reports are presented alongside skill-specific remediation that is customized for each grade level. Remediation suggestions have been developed for implementation by teachers for whole class, small group or individual instruction. Remediation can also be implemented by teams of teachers and education specialists working together.
