The back-to-school season is a time of change and excitement. For children, it’s about new outfits, connecting with old and new friends, and exploration. For you it is a time to lead a new group of students down the road to academic success. In doing so, you’ll need to prepare them for handwriting.
In today’s world, most people don’t write letters to family and friends about their summer activities. This means that critical handwriting skills decline as children engage more in instant messaging, emailing, and other forms of electronic communication. Yet students need good handwriting skills in all written work, so here are some grade-by-grade strategies to help them achieve those skills and improve their academic performance.
