Dear Friends,

I’m excited to start another school year with you and to share some exciting new strategies and resources.

In this issue, we have tips to get all children ready for school. No matter your students’ backgrounds or learning styles, you can help them learn and thrive in your classroom. Our feature, “The Home/School Connection for Classroom Success,” includes ideas to foster family involvement in order to support and extend your teaching at home.

It’s easy to forget crucial skills over the summer, and some children will enter your classroom without prior handwriting knowledge. Read “How to Bring Handwriting Skills up to Speed in Three Easy Steps” to learn how you can quickly and easily bridge the skills gap in your classroom.

I’m also delighted to introduce Little Hoppers, our feature exclusively for the Pre-K classroom. As our Get Set for School readiness curriculum has grown to include more language and math, so too have our offerings to support early learning. So check out “From Cradle to Classroom: Young Learners Transition to Pre-K,” and explore ways to captivate a young audience.

Best wishes for a great new year!
