Time Management

Time ManagementThe Handwriting Without Tears® curriculum is designed for the busy parent and educator to make handwriting instruction easy and effective in just minutes a day.

  • Ideally, handwriting instruction time should take 10 minutes per day, with an additional 5 minutes of practice.
  • Allow time for review and mastery before moving to the next lesson.
  • If your child is motivated and wants to practice seven days per week, then go for it! Fifteen minutes per day will not produce burnout. There is no harm practicing a few minutes on the weekends.
  • Use teachable moments. Take advantage of opportunities during the week to practice new letters, new words, or maybe even sentence writing. HWT has journal notebooks that are perfect for writing about interesting things encountered throughout the week.
