Handwriting Without Tears sponsors Mail to the Chief to celebrate the importance of handwriting in elementary-aged children's lives. What better way to commemorate National Handwriting Day (January 23)?

Handwriting is more than a style—it's a thought process. It's the primary way elementary students communicate. Handwriting promotes an organized approach to communication, maximizes thinking time, and boosts creativity. National Handwriting Day has given tens of thousands of children a chance to show their pride in their best written work by writing to the President of the United States!
